Change can be terrifying no matter how big or small the change is.

To make matters worse, we often never see change coming. An ended relationship, loss of job or loved one are often world shakers that we can never predict. Even small changes get us out of our comfort zone and disrupt our daily satisfaction.

So how do we best deal with change? Psychological flexibility.

In this episode, I will discuss the elements of psychological flexibility and how you can use emotional intelligence exercises to become more agile in your thinking and resilient in your bounce back.

The elements of psychological flexibility that I’ll discuss are:

1) Recognizing and adapting to the demands of different situations. 

2) The ability to change behavior when it interferes with successful functioning. 

3) Maintaining a sense of balance in life. 

4) Consistency between our values and our behavior.
